CO detector, its not push its a poke

Reported October 2026

What was the error?

took out a brand Co2 detector and pressed the button to test the alarm.. nothing worked.. tried multiple times.. thought i was stupid. so got out the manual.. still no joy.. so rang the customer care number.. the told me .. every second call i get is about this.. you have to “poke” the button not “push”

What would have been a better experience?

GIven the obvious many years this problem has been happening and the number of calls to customer support.. the manuals should have been updated with better wording “poke” rather than “push” better still a sticker could be placed on the button.. or even better still redesign the product to allow a push to activate the alarm.
