ErrorX is run by Sean Ogilvy, who is responsible for your information. You can contact me at <a href=\"mailto:sean@pillarboxproperty.co.uk\">sean@pillarboxproperty.co.uk<\/a> or on <a href=\"tel:+447782328627\">07782 328627<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The short version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apart from the basic technical records every web server keeps, the only personal information this website collects is what you choose to send me through the contact form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I use it to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. I don\u2019t sell it, share it for marketing or add you to a mailing list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This website doesn\u2019t use cookies for visitors and has no analytics or advertising trackers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When you send a message through the contact form<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The form asks for your name, your email address, your company (if you want to give it) and your message. When you press <strong>Send message<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your message is saved in the website\u2019s dashboard, which is private and not shown on the website, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a copy is emailed to me, so I can reply to you by email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I use these details only to answer your enquiry and, if we decide to work together, to arrange that work. The law allows this because you have asked me to get in touch and replying is what you would expect (\u201clegitimate interests\u201d), and, where you are asking about working with me, because it is a step you have asked me to take before we agree a contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If something on the form needs correcting, for example a missing email address, what you typed is held for up to five minutes so it can be shown back to you, then discarded. To match it to you, the website uses a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet (IP) address. The address itself is not stored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The form also has a hidden field and a timer that catch automated spam. Neither records anything about you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When you phone me or message me on WhatsApp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you call or text me, I will see your phone number and anything you tell me, and I use them in the same way as a message sent through the form. The <strong>Message on WhatsApp<\/strong> button opens WhatsApp, which is run by WhatsApp (part of Meta) under its own privacy policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When you visit the website<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This website doesn\u2019t set cookies for visitors, run analytics or show adverts. Its fonts and images are served from the website itself rather than from other companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like every website, the server it runs on, provided by LRWeb, keeps technical records of the requests it receives, such as your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser type and the time. These records are used only to keep the website secure and working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One small exception: if your browser can\u2019t display emoji itself, WordPress, the software this website is built with, may load emoji pictures from WordPress.org, which would then see your IP address. Up-to-date browsers almost never need this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The error wall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The error wall describes my own experiences with companies\u2019 products and services. Reports name companies, not individual people, and never include anyone\u2019s personal details. If you think a report includes information about you, or is inaccurate or unfair, please tell me and I will review it straight away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who else handles your information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few companies help me run this website and my email. They handle your information only on my instructions and may not use it for their own purposes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LRWeb (<a href=\"mailto:hello@lrweb.uk\">hello@lrweb.uk<\/a>), which hosts and maintains this website, including the dashboard where enquiries are saved, and may see them while working on it; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IONOS, which provides my email and stores the emails the contact form sends me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I only use providers that protect your information to the standard UK data protection law requires, including if they store it outside the UK. I will not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires me to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, so what you type into the form is encrypted on its way to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long I keep it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I keep enquiries for 12 months after we were last in touch, then delete them from the website\u2019s dashboard and from my email. If we go on to work together, I keep the records I need for that work, and for my business accounts for as long as tax law requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>tell you what information I hold about you and give you a copy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>delete your information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stop using it, or use it only in limited ways; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>give you your information in a form you can take elsewhere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To ask, email <a href=\"mailto:sean@pillarboxproperty.co.uk\">sean@pillarboxproperty.co.uk<\/a> or call <a href=\"tel:+447782328627\">07782 328627<\/a>.
